Outreach: Programs and Services
The Culinary Lab in the Food Science and Human Nutrition Department at Colorado State University will provide a training, research and testing environment for CSU students while providing shared-use services to the Larimer County community, as well as to university employees.
Services to CSU employees [outside of the FSHN Department] will include rental of a commercial kitchen for individuals, clubs, departments and other groups.
Services for the community will include affordable commercial kitchen space and miscellaneous equipment for rent to individuals, non-profit organizations and companies.
The Culinary Lab is located on the second floor of the Gifford Building, Room 239, with adjoining smart classroom in room 237. The lab includes a professional commercial kitchen with a work island and mirror for cooking demonstrations and classes; 6 food prep areas, 8 ranges, 2 refrigerators and 10 ovens. The kitchen space can accommodate 24. The smart classroom can accommodate 24 with flexible seating arrangements.
